I am a self-taught amateur photographer living in eastern Canada, and I discovered photography in 2003 and have remained active in the hobby ever since. My focus tends to be emotive scenery and especially sunsets.
My pictures have all been produced using a variety of digital cameras, the newest of which being a Nikon D40x, an entry-level professional digital SLR. My equipment will improve over time but I try to get the most out of what I have to work with, through experimentation and practice.

This archive page can be used to find and view all of my posted pictures. You can click on years and subjects in the Categories section, descriptors in the Tags section, or periods of time in the Months/Calendar sections.
When you click on one, a new page will come up with thumbnail images of every picture that falls under the category you clicked. If you wish to view multiple images from these pages, I recommend holding the ctrl key on your keyboard and clicking on each picture you want to view. This will open them in new browser tabs.
To get a brief overview of my work without having to blindly make your way through the archives, click on the elite tag. This will bring up a gallery of my personal favourite photos posted so far! These will be updated every once in a while as I develop new personal favourites.

On every page, a small block of EXIF data is posted with the photos, which consists of technical information including what camera was used, what settings were used, and exactly what time/date the photo was taken.
Comments may be left on any picture by clicking the “leave a comment” link on every page. I love comments, so if a particular image moves you in some way, please let me know by leaving a comment!
The photos posted here all tell stories that range from autobiographical to speculative fiction. Some stories are pulled directly from my experiences and others were inspired by the scenes themselves either at the time of capture or at the time of analysis. Experiences can drive photos to be taken or the photos taken can help to express them. Things that are, things that were, what ifs and could have beens. One thing I do is look at my photos and try to figure out what inspired my subconscious mind to take them.
An important aspect about photography should be finding meaning in the pictures using your own experiences and insights! Most of all, take your time and ENJOY the pictures!

This photo blog was started to more appropriately display my work and serve as a type of motivation for me to keep creating pieces. It’s an ongoing work-in-progress but a functional one. Photos posted can either be freshly snapped, recently snapped or one of the thousands of photos from the last few years that I have laying around. I’ll generally try to mix these up to keep things fresh, so new posts aren’t necessarily brand new photos.
Initially, I made it a goal to post at least one new photo every day, but life frequently gets in the way plus my interest in photography comes and goes in waves as other things take hold. With that said, I’ll try to keep posting photos as much as I can!
Prints are available on personal request. These photos will be written about and autographed on the back side unless otherwise stated. I currently do not sell prints through an online service, but that may change in the future. I keep organized high resolution original copies of all my work, should the need arise!
To receive notifications about new posts, you can subscribe to the RSS feed using the reader of your choice!
